National consulting firm assists two Community Health Centers receive funds for New Health Center Sites
ROCKFORD, IL: September 16, 2019 – The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) announced today the awarding of $50 Million to provide funding for 77 New Access Points (NAP) grants to establish Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs). Two theFranaGroup clients: A+ Family Healthcare in Brownsville, Kentucky and Western Wayne Family Health Centers in Inkster, Michigan each received $650,000 (for a total of $1,300,000) to support their efforts. A+ Family Healthcare will establish clinics in Brownville and Sonora, Kentucky. This is the third NAP award theFranaGroup has secured for Western Wayne Family Health Centers and will fund their new clinic in Dearborn, Michigan. theFranaGroup has now established 41 FQHCs for clients.
FQHCs now represent the largest primary practice in the United States. Serving more than 28 million patients in 2018 with over 115 million patient visits at over 12,000 service sites with a combined staffing of over 236,000 health care professionals. FQHCs now provide primary care to one in twelve adults and one in nine children living in the United States.
