An announcement was made by the US Department of Health and Human Services to provide funds to establish four school-based clinics in Wichita, Kansas.
Rockford IL, December 20, 2012: theFranaGroup, a national healthcare consulting firm, announced today the awarding of $2 million by the US Department of Health and Human Services in capital funding from the Affordable Care Act to provide funds to establish four school-based clinics in Wichita, Kansas. Each award will provide $500,000 for capital expenses to build four clinics. These grants will allow Wichita to expand primary health care services in schools as part of the planned expansion under the Affordable Care Act.
The Derby Unified School District, County of Sedgwick, Unified School District 259 and GraceMed Health Clinic, Inc. will each receive $500,000 to establish clinics in Wichita. This is the third round of school-based clinic capital awards. In a previous round, theFranaGroup clients in Wichita were successful in winning three awards of $500,000 each. As a result, $3.5 million will create seven school-based clinics in Wichita over the next two years.
