theFranaGroup announced today that David B. Bingaman, the recently retired Deputy Regional Administrator for the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) at the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) in Chicago, has joined theFranaGroup as a Senior Associate.

Rockford, IL (January 13, 2015)  –  theFranaGroup announced today that David B. Bingaman, the recently retired Deputy Regional Administrator for the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) at the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) in Chicago, has joined theFranaGroup as a Senior Associate.

Bingaman will be providing theFranagroup’s healthcare facility clients with training on conducting patient screening, brief intervention, and referral to treatment (SBIRT) and assisting in the integration of behavioral health into primary health service.

Bingaman, a licensed clinical social worker, has served in several leadership roles during his 23 years at HRSA.  Most recently, he helped implement the Affordable Care Act as well as expand the integration of behavioral health services in primary care settings throughout a six state (Great Lakes) region.  Previously, he managed the Office of Performance Review that provided technical assistance and training to 250 federal healthcare grantees to help them assess and improve performance.

Prior to joining HHS, Bingaman was Vice-President of a community-based hospital in Chicago and also served as the Administrator of Regulatory and Support Services at the Illinois Department of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse.
