Rockford, IL  May 24, 2018 – theFranaGroup announced today a collaboration with Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation to make available to Federally Qualified Health Centers the Comprehensive Opioid Response with the Twelve Steps (COR-12)model created by the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation to address the dramatic rise of opioid use disorders.

For theFranaGroup clients who wish to implement medication-assisted (MAT) in their responses to federally opioid interventions, the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation will provide a four-day program of Discovery, Implementation and Clinical Training along with one year of support via formal and informal clinical mentorship.

About the COR-12 model:

In  2012, under the leadership of Chief Medical Officer Marvin D. Seppala, MD, the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation undertook a “fearless moral inventory,” evaluating every aspect of how it provided treatment for opioid use disorder.  The result was the creation of a new treatment framework that integrates the use of medication-assisted treatment (MAT) with Hazelden Betty Ford’s evidence-based Twelve Step Facilitation model to provide long-term, wraparound services individualized to an opioid-dependent patient’s needs and those of his or her family.  Known as the Comprehensive Opioid Response with the Twelve Steps (COR-12), this groundbreaking approach is now being adopted and replicated in communities across America, through trainings provided by the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation to other providers throughout the health care ecosystem.
